Our Profiline membrane keypads offer optimum input comfort for almost all industrial applications. Here, unlimited design possibilities meet outstanding switching behavior. Special designs such as switching paddles and large-area keys can be realized very individually. A Profiline key can be felt very well even when wearing gloves and gives the user tactile feedback with a perfect "click" every time the key is pressed.

Illuminated membrane keypads

To backlight key or display fields, key edges or symbols, the use of state-of-the-art LED technology is favored. Depending on the requirements, the design of the keypad and the use of light guides or light shields are coordinated to achieve optimum lighting results. Thus, the keypad not only offers operator safety in poor lighting conditions, but can also provide visual feedback for certain switching positions.

Membrane keypads with copper conductors

For optimum functionality and durability, we exclusively produce high-quality membrane keypads based on refined copper conductor tracks. This technology offers extremely high electrical and mechanical reliability as well as low conductor track resistance. Even complex electronic circuits can be directly integrated into the keypad and automatically assembled using SMD technology. Another advantage of this technology is that the foil connection cable can be bent with very small radii without the risk of breaking the conductor paths. This can be the decisive advantage over conventional conductive silver technology, especially when space in the housing is tight.

Capacitive keypads – For heavy use

Capacitive keypads offer an ideal solution for comfortable operation of machines and devices. Only a light touch on the capacitive key elements, which are located behind a completely closed, continuous front, detects your keystroke.
The closed and smooth surface is particularly characterized by its high resistance, durability and the multitude of possible uses in industry and medical technology. In addition, the capacitive keypad has no moving parts, it responds to the touch of a finger through a sensor electrode. The surface can be easily cleaned with water and also with cleaning agents or disinfectants, which is why it can also be used in highly sensitive areas with maximum hygiene standards. It can also be easily operated with special gloves. In addition, the keypads can be illuminated individually and completely according to your wishes. You also have almost unlimited freedom of design with regard to the shape, design and material of the capacitive keypads.

Mylardom Membrane Keypads – The low cost technology

The Mylardom technology is an inexpensive alternative to realize a functional membrane keypad without snap domes. Since this technology can withstand fewer switching cycles than a keypad with snap domes, it is primarily used where the keys are rarely needed. For example, in heating or ventilation control systems.

Membrane keypads with 2-step keys

When keypads are combined directly with printed circuit board, an additional carrier pad can often be dispensed with. The thickness of the PCB material (FR4 etc.) is then selected so that the stability is comparable to that of a metal carrier plate. Threaded bolts can also be accommodated, as can apertures. Due to this design, additional electronic components can be mounted directly on the back of the keypad, which often results in a significant cost reduction.
